Shipping AS is a shipping company offering services mainly for guardboat duties, surface support, survey and other general workboat operations offshore and in coastal areas.
The company was founded 1. january 2008 by Bernt Robert Gjendem and Harald Bigset.

Etter som markedsvilkårene har endret seg drastisk de siste 12 - 18 månedene har også rederiet måtte gripe mulighetene de nye vilkårene har gitt oss. Som et fremtidsrettet og innovativt rederi markerer vi dette veiskillet ved å skifte navn til HighSea Offshore AS. Driften har den siste tiden blitt vesentlig lagt om og selskapet gjør også som flere andre å basere oss på innleid mannskap for å lette trykket på egen mannskapsavdeling. Dette gir økt kostnadskontroll og gir også det innleide mannskapet en unik mulighet til å ta kontroll over sin egen situasjon, med den friheten dette gir den enkelte.
Vi inviterer derfor til å bli med på laget i et nytt og fremtidsrettet rederi som ønsker å ta vare på sine medarbeidere og ha fokus på god trivsel, vedlikehold, helse- miljø og sikkerhet. Velkommen ombord!

GH Shipping AS flyttet 01. Mars 2009 inn i nytt kontor i 2 etg. på Torget 1 i Elnesvågen sentrum. Rederiet er nå fornøyd med å få et sentralt og godt tilholdssted hvor administrasjonen kan ta i mot både mannskap og andre besøkende. I det nye kontoret vil det foreløpig være plass til 2 ansatte, men et nytt påbygg vil etterhvert åpne for et større kontormiljø dersom behovet skulle bli større. Dette er også et positivt tilskudd til Fræna Kommunes næringsliv som nå har fått sitt første offshorerederi til kommunen.

As the christmas and present year is coming to an end, we will take an opportunity to present both our new vessel and our new chairman of the board. On the 28.11.08, MV Coast Defender (ex. Guard Baltic) was handed over to GHS as new owner and operator. The shipping company has since that day used a lot of resources in upgrading the vessel for future charts. The vessel has in this short time reached a new and higher level of comfort and safety. Technically the vesel is of a general good condition, but the new owners will also take new measures in this respect to stimulate for steady state operation.
Our new chariman of the board, Bente Bøhler from Asker, have by her tremendously positive conduct made it possible for GHS to purchase its first vessel. She is together with the other board members very happy with the results and they all look forward for further growth in 2009. Bente has in the same way as Harald Bigset a good track record in past businesses. Her previous track record was in the property and social sector.
Managing Director and company entrepreneur Bernt Robert Gjendem now aims to build the companys staff successively with further development plans. A searc for a new registered office continues along with a continious process in finding new vessel prospects and markets for further expansion.
We will take the opportunity to wish all visitors, crew, leadership and shareholders a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the board of directors.
